So after snapping my trucks a few days ago, then getting some second hand ones from a friend, then taking them to a garage and getting the worn out axels re-threaded, I went out skating again today.
Long story short, I fell on my face and had to leave due to dizziness.
P.s. Busted lip and bruised my eyebrow.
This happened on May 5th of 2007, so it’s not the most current news. Still, I think that it’s worth sharing.
Basically, four of my friends and myself drove to Edison, Mike’s home town, to watch him demo. I was skating a bit in a corner that I’d claimed and when the show started getting a bit slow for a lot of the kids some guy with a megaphone encouraged me to keep skating.
I got to shake his hand and tell him how much I love him, not all that much, especially considering the situation was indistinguishable from those of all the others who waited in the hour long line to get his autograph. He did make a comment about my skating, something like, “I saw you ripping over there.” He made another comment about my setup. I said something about freestyle equipment being difficult to find.
At Burton-on-Trent skatepark.
Which is nice, and new(ish) park, and pictures can be seen here.
It was a good days skating, and I didn’t crash my car or anything. Expect some footage of me doing some tricks you’ve seen a million times before soon.
